LEMON SUGAR COOKIES

1/2 cup Crisco 

1/3 tsp baking soda
1 c sugar 1/2 tsp salt
1 egg 1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp lemon extract          2 c flour
1 T  lemon juice & 1 T lemon rind

Cream Crisco with sugar and add remaining ingredients.  Roll a teaspoon of dough in the palms of both hands ( the size of a walnut ).  Flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.  Bake 8 minutes in 350 degree oven.
