
PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

| Mix together and set aside: | Cream together: |
| 2 1/2 cups of flour | 1 cup shortening |
| 1 teaspoon of baking powder | 1 cup chunky peanut butter |
| 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda | 1 cup sugar |
| 1/2 teaspoon salt | 1 cup brown sugar |
| 2 eggs | |
| Add dry ingredients to peanut butter ingredients and mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls (you may have to refrigerate for about 30 minutes before shaping into balls). Place the balls on a cookie sheet and flatten with fingers. Then score each cookie with a fork dipped in cold water. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes depending on your oven. Yield: about 9 dozen cookies. | |
